Latrobe Health Services enhances security with new mobile app and online account
Latrobe Health Services’ slick new mobile app and online account platform features multi-factor authentication (MFA) for improved security of members’ personal information.
Evolving the customer experience front of mind with the mobile app and online member log in area, Latrobe Health took the opportunity to integrate security enhancement with the better user experience.
Latrobe Health Services CEO said improved security was a top priority, in addition to delivering simpler claiming, easy to use functionality and clearer benefit limits.
“Cyber security is a top priority for us, and we're committed to providing the best possible protection to our members’ information”, said Ian Whitehead. “MFA is a simple and effective way to add an extra layer of security to member accounts”.
In addition to a username and password, members are prompted to enter a one-time code to login. This code is generated by a text message sent to their registered phone number. Without this code, the member will not be able to log into their account.
This verification step makes it much more difficult for hackers to steal sensitive health data and personal information. “It’s a simple additional step, but incredibly effective in protecting members’ data,” said Mr Whitehead.
Enhanced cybersecurity measures are a must in this digital age, and Mr Whitehead believes Latrobe Health has a responsibility to continually invest in robust measures to protect members’ data.
“Our members trust us with their personal information, it’s imperative that we stay on top of security technologies to give them peace of mind”.
The new digital member services platform boasts an improved, user-friendly interface, with clear navigation easy claim uploading and membership management.
