Latrobe Health Services is thrilled to announce the opening of a new Member Experience Hub at Maryvale Private Hospital in Morwell.   

 The new hub opened its doors to members on Monday 26 September and marks the re-introduction of branch services in Morwell after the closure of the McDonald Street branch in 2021 and throughout COVID-19.  

 Latrobe Health Services CEO, Ian Whitehead, said he was pleased to be providing branch services to our members once more in Morwell.  

 “We’re proud to be Gippsland-born and one of the largest not-for-profit health insurers in Australia today,” said Mr. Whitehead.  

 “Our experienced member consultants are trained to provide in-person support to members in the branch. We believe at Latrobe Health that our physical service is our point of difference and a service we offer that is entirely about engagement and relationships with our members and our community,” Mr. Whitehead said.  

 Latrobe Health Services is the owner of Maryvale Private Hospital and has invested $16M into its redevelopment which will increase both the surgical capacity and services offered at the hospital. Mr. Whitehead said it makes sense to utilise the contemporary redeveloped hospital setting to also deliver branch services to our members, of which more than 50% of patients there are Latrobe Health members.   

 “We have 60 years of proud service to our members at our McDonald Street branch and many good times to reflect on,” Mr. Whitehead said.  

 “We’re looking forward to continuing to serve members and the Gippsland community at our new member experience hub in Morwell.   

 “And of course, the one thing we can proudly say has not changed, when Latrobe Health Services was founded, to 1962 when our then state-of-the-art new headquarters in Morwell were opened, to now, is our care for members.”  

 The opening of the Maryvale hub follows the opening of the Warragul Member Experience Hub in late 2021. The health fund’s branches in Moe and Traralgon will get a makeover too.   

 “It’s all about providing great service for our members in an inviting, comfortable space,” says Head of Customer Experience Todd Pemberton.   

 “Our members can come in, have a seat and receive support and guidance to find the cover that best suits their needs in a spacious, modern hub,” Mr. Pemberton said.  

The Maryvale Member Experience Hub is located at Maryvale Private Hospital, 286 Maryvale Road, Morwell. The hub is open Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm (and is closed from 12.30 -1pm daily).
