Latrobe Health Services members can look forward to the opening of a flagship Member Experience Hub for new and existing members to manage their private health insurance in Warragul by mid-2021.
The private health insurer, established in Gippsland 70 years ago, is Gippsland’s only health fund with branches in Gippsland. With many Gippslanders insured by the fund, the commitment to good, old-fashioned service is strong, says Latrobe Health Services Chief Executive Officer Ian Whitehead.
“We started from humble beginnings in the Valley in 1951, and today we are one of the larger private health insurers in the country. While many larger health funds are closing branches, we’re going the other way: our commitment to local branches is strong; we know how important it is to speak to a real person,” Mr Whitehead said.
“The Member Experience Hub will be a place where our normal branch functions can be conducted for our members, but also a place that feels good to come in and understand private health insurance if you’re looking for advice.”
The Warragul Member Experience Hub will be in addition to branches currently in Moe, Morwell, Bairnsdale and Traralgon that in 2021 are expected to get a freshen up. We’re also looking at other possible locations where we can establish Member Experience Hubs for our members.
Since 1999, Latrobe Health Services has partnered with Australian Health Cover Advisors to deliver branch-style services to members on behalf of Latrobe Health Services in the Warragul area. This has enabled our members to access a Warragul shopfront where enquiries relating to membership and claims could be managed.
Unfortunately, this shift does mean that Latrobe Health Services Warragul Agency partner, Australian Health Cover Advisors, trading from 76 Smith Street in Warragul, will no longer deliver branch-style services on behalf of Latrobe Health Services from 14 January 2021.
