Here's everything you need to know about our Discount Policy, including recent changes we have made.
We’ll help you understand the changes to our Discount Policy, and how this may affect you depending on the discount/s you may have been accessing previously.
In 2021 Latrobe Health undertook a significant review of its Discounting Policy (which had been established in 2010). Latrobe Health values our members and strives to ensure our member value proposition is consistently achieved by providing ongoing product value in terms of accessibility to services, coverage, and price while also balancing longer-term fund sustainability.
The specific changes to our Discount Policy include:
- If you were paying 12 months in advance – you now access a 2% discount which will be applied to your membership (reduced from 4%)
- If you were paying 6 months in advance – you now access a 1% discount which will be applied to your membership (reduced from 2%)
- If you were paying 3 months in advance – there is no discount offered (reduced from 1% previously)
- We will no longer apply a discount for paying by direct debit (reduced from 2%).
Discounts are regulated under the Private Health Insurance Act 2007 (Cth), and Latrobe Health supports the principle of community rating and ensures that its discounting policy is compliant with all applicable requirements.
